cookNscribble is an online community of food writers, podcasters, photographers, and thinkers. We’re a buzzing hive of creative energy, online resources, and support for people aiming to forge a career in food media, as well as well-established voices seeking to deepen their skills. Our community embraces journalists, memoirists, visual storytellers, entrepreneurs, and poets.
cookNscribble was established in 2012 by Molly O’Neill, a former New York Times columnist, author of six books, and a James Beard Award winner. We produce our annual residential immersion course, the LongHouse Food Scholars Program, and offer virtual classes in food writing, from journalism to memoir. We provide group writing support, workshops, retreats, and mentorship to support people keeping the conversation about food lively, literate, and smart.
